Pretty web links

How would I create a text phrase for a weblink? I.e., I usually just copy and paste a url into a comment, but I know there's a way to make it a text-phrase instead. I'd like to do that with my signature url, if that makes a difference.

This is difficult to describe because anything I type in the correct format gets converted when you see the message!

Anyway, when you enter a URL it displays in the editing box as {URL="http://www.mylink.com"}http://www.mylink.com{URL} with the { brackets replaced by [ ones.

The first copy of the URL is the actual link, and the second copy (the one without the quotes) is what gets displayed, so you can change that to whatever you want.

- just remove the red asterisks !!!


You can also add colour, size, font, bold coding either side of the link if you want, e.g.

[*COLOR=blue] then your link [*/COLOR]
[*SIZE=3] then your link [*/SIZE}
[*FONT=Comic Sans MS] then you link [*/FONT]
[*B] then your link [*/B]

again, remove the asterisks!
