it might be the 'Cameronians Scottish rifles' if you can identify the tartan you may be in more luck, there are several makers out there, one being 'Great Scot' they may well be able to identify it for you.

Failing that you could try 'the great war' forum or Rootsweb to see if any of them can identify it. Sorry I cant be of more help.
If it is the Cameronians then that hat with the leather band stopped being used after 1915 so that may well be a good indicator of a date prior to 1915.
