    Andrew

It's not even as if it's the first time you have done this. I wasted a lot of time on another query you posted on here.

We all like to help but can you not see how infuriating it is for helpers to spend ages looking for stuff only to find out you already knew because you posted elsewhere.

Big Apologies to everyone for wasting your time. I really don't remember posting this anywhere else. I have just gone through a box of papers which i had forgotten i'd got and found information on this subject.
The one thing which you have been able to find for me is Henry's father which i didn't know and if you could find further details on him i'd appreciate it.
Again apologies, embarrassed doesn't come into it. If you wish to close this i would understand.:(:(:(

OK, No problem Andrew, it happens.
You have him in 1861, post#13.

His Marriage entry shows he was living in Sheaf Gardens.

1851 shows an Isaac Furness b 1822 Sheffield - Brittannia Metal Smith and wife Elizabeth b 1830 living 95 Sheaf Gdns
An Elizabeth Furness Lodger Unmarried Female b 1829 Sheffield, a Milliner was living next door with the Bramall family.

Henry could have been staying with them prior to his marriage to be in the Parish for the Banns. Maybe a brother and sister?

There is an Isaac married 1841 Sheffield, Cathedral Church of St Peter & St Paul but father is a Thomas. Could be that Thomas and George are brothers or cousins?

I cannot see a birth for a Henry with mother Susannah unless the Ann one below is a short for Susannah but that would be unusual.

Thanks Katarzyna. I have come across Susannah written as Susan/Ann/Anne/Anna in the past but yes it is unusual.
