Help with Montreal, Canada research..
Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me. I would like to get a copy of the death cert for my Great Grandfather.
His name was Samuel Taylor, he was born on the 23 June 1861, Batley , Yorkshire.
He immigated in 1899 from England, arriving in Montreal on 6 May on board the 'Scotsman'.
He is listed in the Canadian 1901 census with his son Sam Taylor(age 9) and a lodger, Eluder Crowther.
Samuel was a Musician(Violinist) and he played in the 'Montreal Symphony Orchestra' 1899-1903(perhaps longer).
I would like to get a copy of Samuels Death certificate.
From what I can gather he died somewhere between 1908 and 1911 as he is not listed in the 1911 census.
In 1905-1908 he was living in St Henri, Montreal.
That is all the information I have.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with getting a copy of his death cert and if any one has any info on the 'Montreal Symphony Orchestra' for this period.
Thanks !!!!
Ann
