  • Beeson Family Research Help

Hey everyone! I’ve been researching my grandmas side (Beeson family) and I need help verifying an ancestor.

Was Uriah Monroe Beeson b. Ca. 1785 and married to Sarah Ann Harriet Maples in Amite county Mississippi in 1810 the son of Captain Edward Beeson (1757-1837) who was born in Guilford North Carolina and died in Marshall county Alabama?

There is a lot of records and research done on Edward and Uriah’s son Benjamin Abbott Beeson (1813-1899) but not much on him or where he is buried.

    Thanks!!

From FamilySearch's FamilyTree entry for Uriah Beason/Beeson:
" Uriah Beeson is listed on the Franklin County, Georgia tax records starting in 1801 and continuing through 1805. He is listed with his mother Elizabeth Beeson and his brother Isaiah Beeson until 1805. In 1805 he is only listed with his brother Isaiah."

There are also other entries for him, including census entries from 1820 to 1850, his marriage, and the index to his War of 1812 service. Have you looked at those, or tried to pull his 1812 service record?
