I need to trace a German-born

Hello. Can anyone offer help in tracing a birth in Germany?
I know the name of the child. I know the date of birth, 29 Jul 1956. I know the birthplace, Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany and I know the father’s name, but I cannot find the mother’s name. I know that the father married 6 years earlier and I know the bride's name, but I do not know whether she is the mother.
Anyone suggest where I might search?

Germany has strict privacy laws, 110 years for births. So unless you're a descendant of this person, you won't be able to access the birth record for mother's name.

Probably best to ask the local standesamt for the marriage of the father.
