Maps & Photographs

  • Tithe Maps This is a fantastic resource. You can search by surname of owner or tenant, by placename etc. Try the advanced search. You can also show side by side maps of the 1836 tithe maps against OS maps from various dates including now and aerial photographs. You can also overlay colour coding for owners, tenants and for usage of the land. It's not complete but it's being updated regularly and is well worth a look. Many areas are covered already.
