Anglesey is both a county and an island to the Northwest of Wales. The county covers a number of islands, the largest of which (called Anglesey) is separated from the mainland by the Menai Strait and linked to the mainland by two bridges.
The principal town is Holyhead, administration for the county is based in Llangefni.
