Looking for Ward, Moore, Hunt, Warren...and who was Gertrude Wills
Sorry Elizabeth, I missed your post yesterday. Thank you for the link to the Spencer wills. In 2007 I was in contact with a descendant of James Spencer’s eldest brother Adam who was John’s and Mary’s second child. I was sent a copy of John Spencer’s will which mentions all of his surviving children including James. It also mentions his younger sister Dorothy Spencer which links John with Shelsley Walsh. I was sent a copy of James Spencer’s will and of another John Spencer (dated 1833) which might relate to a nephew of John (my 4th great grandfather). Sadly my contact passed away in 2009.
I did spot a baptism for a John Spencer in Monmouth, which might tie in with the will 1834, there is a Francis and Martha Spencer parents and Francis is a forgeman
