  • Record Office: Gros

I shall be visiting the Scottish records office on Thursday (23rd) and possibly again next week.

Happy to do a couple of lookups.

Having just made a breakthrough after the visit last week I shall definitely be back at the records office this week, probably Wed(29 Sep) and Fri(1 Oct).

I have some look ups to do for Flashieboy, but I could probably do a couple of others.

Hi Sheila - just saying the same as Bertie really. Look forward to your reply, as I'd be interested in a search.

I can look up births, marriages and deaths from 1855-present year and censuses from 1841-1901.

There are also the Old Parish Records (OPR) which are the records of the established Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church records(although I have no experience of these).

Hi Sheila - thanks so much for that. I have tried to select records which I think should be easy for you to look up for me, as follows:

DEATH Agnes WOOD, (21 Dec) 1861, Cupar, Fife
DEATH David ROLLO, (29 Jul) 1856, Logie, Fife
DEATH Ann PATERSON, 1870, St. Andrew (parish), Dundee, Angus (born 1800)

I'd be grateful for as much informatin from the records you can transcribe.

            Thanks
