  • 1851 CENSUS lookup please

I'm trying to find Dugald McKinnon on the 1851 census. I have him on Tiree born 1825 and aged 15 in the 1841 census also on Tiree. On the 1861 census in Glasgow he is with his "wife" and kids. Cannot find him anywhere on the 1851 census.

Just looking now. The 1851 seems to spell Tiree as Tyree. What are his parents' names and what are the 1861 details?

He could have been mistranscribed as Donald or even worse on Ancestry and there are no images to check.

There's a Donald McKinnon (foundry labourer) with his married "cousin" Jean McKinnon nee McDougall (seaman's wife) and her mother Flora (crofter in Tiree) living in Centre Street, Gorbals.

On the 1861 census he is living at 34 Centre St. with his wife and kids. So its a possibility, will look further into it.
      Thanks UJ.

Parents are Donald McKinnon and Mary McNiel married in Balephuil, Tiree 24th Jan 1815. 1861 census gives Dugald, his "wife" Euphemia Beaton and children Mary (2) & John (1). Dugalds occupation is Labourer and "mason"??
