Moon, Alice 1837 - Addington, Yorkshire, , England
The Yorks BMD site (Yorkshire Births Marriages & Deaths) has an Alice in 1837 - and also:
MOON John Addingham Bradford (with a very similar reference).

                      1839:
                      MOON Charles Addingham Bradford

                      1841:
                      MOON Elizabeth Addingham Bradford

                      1843:
                      MOON Sarah Addingham Bradford

                      1845:
                      MOON James Addingham Bradford

                      1847:
                      MOON Ann Addingham Bradford
MOON Ann Addingham Bradford (different ref)

                      1848:
                      MOON Andrew Addingham Bradford

                      1855:
                      MOON John H Addingham Bradford

                      1856:
                      MOON Thomas L Addingham Bradford

                      1857:
                      MOON Charles Addingham Bradford

                      1866:
                      MOON Fanny Addingham Bradford

                      ...and so on.

You can order certificates from the relevant Yorkshire Register Office using the online information - and their refs, of course, not the GRO ones.

There's a 1932 Crockford's biography which shows that he was at Trusthorpe 1904-1918.

By that time he was living at "Chaselands, South Farm-road, Worthing."

That sounds like just the sort of useful task for which genealogy is an ideal tool.

Have you tried the Times Digital Archive online?

Have a look at this one:
Gazette Issue 20321 published on the 1 March 1844. Page 8 of 44
                                      Gazette Website: PDF Navigator

Lots of useful-looking names - but not at all sure whether [a] it's the right Charles Moon and [b] quite how the names link together (the legalese is a bit confusing!).

EDIT - much too early to be useful in this context.

                                      Christine

Hi Christine, hope you got my private message and things are a bit clearer! ...charles moon that I am looking for was a man of the cloth, he married later in life and I dont think they had any children, I know he was an uncle though!
