Our local vicar has had an enquiry from a lady living in NZ, who wanted to find her family that she had lost contact with over 30 years ago, and had at one time lived in our village.
I have managed to find information about the family in the UK, but there is another living female relative, who was living in Corsica as recently as 12 months ago. She may be married but I only know her maiden name (which is French and she was born in the UK) and that she has at least two children.
I have no idea whatsoever of where/how to start researching French records, so any help would be greatly appreciated. If you can help please PM me for more details.
