  • Big Help Needed Please!

    Good Evening All,
I am trying to find some of my Bonner family and I am having a lot of trouble with them!
The first is I cannot find Louisa Bonner after the 1891 census, b. 1874, Checkendon, Oxfordshire/Berkshire- cannot see a marriage nor death.
The second is Samuel Bonner after the 1891 census, b.1877, Checkendon, Oxfordshire/Berkshire- cannot see a marriage nor death.
The third is Edward Bonner after the 1901 census, b.1879, Checkendon, Oxfordshire/Berkshire, again no marriage nor death.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful!
    Thanks
    Tessie

There is a marriage for a Samuel Bonner in 1904 in Henley, possibly to Emma Hayes.

On the 1911 Census there is the following family:

        Samuel b 1877
        Emma b 1874
        Sam b 1906
        Edward b 1907
        Harry b 1908
        Charley b 1910

Timothy looks to be the son of James & mary, with older brothers
              William 1837 Charles 1842 ,George 1847. & Moses J 1850 james 1844

There are sisters Hannah born abt 1839 & mary abt 1853

                  Hi Tessie

This seems to be Edward in 1901 with his brother, James, who is listed as a boarder, and Edward says that he is married

                  RG13; Piece: 1368; Folio: 80; Page: 5

I think this is his marriage

                  Fulker Edith Reading 2c 797

Kirke Elizabeth Jane Reading 2c 797
Randall George Frederick Reading 2c 797

And this is probably their son which is probably the nephew that Jess found

however, just thinking about it, why is the child registered under the mothers name, is it because they were not married at the time of the birth?

I would think so Tessie. I suppose the only way to find out for sure would be to get the certs to see what the dates were for the birth and the marriage.

I don't seem to be able to pin them down in 1911 either

Its weird that their son is with his aunt Louise but there is no trace of them! Maybe they have been badly mis-transcribed! Oh well, off to my other brick wall.
