Well........I did warn you!:D I knew we wouldn't win this one so, how about something a little easier?

My gg grandmother Sarah Reeves born Hanmer Flintshire 1819 and married William Madeley in 1847.

Sarah's parents: Thomas Reeves & Jane Mathers married Malpas Cheshire in 1813.
Thomas was born Hanmer too.....they lived in Shropshire.

I can't find any trace of them on the 1841 census........any help here please?

Thomas born 1798 and Jane abt that!

How sure are you of her year of birth

                    Could this one be possible?

Do you have Thomas and Jane in 1851 - if so can you give the reference.
Do you expect to find any children with them in 1841?

A possible for Sarah in 1841

Overton --> Hanmer is about 6 miles

                        Ignore this - too young!

Have her marriage cert to William Madeley.

By Licence in the parish of Hanmer county of Flint.
                          October 7th 1847.
Wm Madeley 27 Bachelor Butcher. Residence Hanmer
Sarah Reeves 28 Spinster Of the same place.

So given the year of marriage and age at the time she would have been born abt 1819.

Elaine........It could well be her but I'm not sure what her residence is, is it some kind of boarding/lodging house, seems big for that. And is she of Independant means? I can't make it out with my eyesight?

The address is Gredington, Hanmer - looks like a big house - top of page is the Hon.Lord Kenyon.
Sarah is listed as FS = female servant

No Thomas & Jane in 1851 Elaine and its dounbtful if they would have had children with them then.

Forgot to mention that one of the witnesses to the marriage was one Jane Reeves.....May have been her mother or possibly a sister!

Thomas Reeves (Sarah's father) is recorded as an Inn Keeper & Butcher on the marriage cert.
