  • Deaths in NZ (last 20 Years)

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

My Great Great Aunt Cis emmigrated to NZ in the 1940's and died there in her mid-late 90's. I know she was living in Timaru in 1990 (I do have her full address) but don't know how to go about finding out when she died.

    Thanks

    Vikki,

Try this link. Looks like Timaru is on it.

Cemeteries and Cemetery Records : New Zealand : Family History : History : Internet Gateway : Reference - Christchurch City Libraries

Otherwise if you pm me the name I'll keep my eyes open.

Thanks for that link Libby, Nothing coming up for her sadly.

I don't know if she was burried or cremated.

I have sent you a PM just in case

Got the pm. Was the first name Cecil? or Cecilia?

Lyn or Chris will have more ideas up their sleeve, I'm sure.

She was Cecil, it seems to be both a boys and a girls name

OK Vikki. I can't see anything straight off, but I've added them to my NZ list.

I have never had to track down anything that recent I am afraid, so am scratching around trying to think how I would find it. I would have thought cemetery records would have been the easiest way. Did you check only Timaru? Can you let me know the name, and I will see what I can find??

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.

                Hi Chris

Her name was Cecil Alice Hill (Formerly Robinson, Nee Dawson) she was born in 1895. And I know (at least i'm 98% sure) she didn't make 100

I only checked Timaru, because my NZ geography is non-existent. I don't think she was buried, more then likely cremated.

                Thanks
