There are also indexes of names mentioned in the 1842 Commission on the Employment of Children in the Mines, for Cornwall, Cumberland, Durham, Northumberland, and Forest of Dean.
Oh, I didn't know the site wasn't in the WIKI, I've had it in my favourites for ages:o My great granny, Mary Ann JOHNS and her sisters Jane and Maria were all Bal Maidens in Cornwall before they married.
