  • Who can read the name of Ettie's father?

    If you remember Ettie Elizabeth who? from the other week, I have to say an enormous thank you to WendyP and her friend for getting me a copy of the marriage certificate for Ettie's second(?) marriage.

    This is her father's name (attached, I hope!)

    Guesses, anybody?

    His occupation is "wine cooper" (and I love Ettie's occupation, "Lady"!)

    (Ettie is supposed to be born either Sydenham, Kent or London about 1864-5)

                  I was going to say that the beginning of the name looked like Cath (and could only think of Cathcart!)
