It was definitely Luna - her name was consistant on her birth registration, baptism, through the census returns and on her death registration. I've just been looking at FreeBMD and see that a small number of Lunas were born each year from 1838, so even though it was uncommon, she wasn't the only one!
Although I have to admit that I have questioned the origins of the name - perhaps she was born when it was a full moon
I like the idea that they were hippies way before their time though ;)
And talking about unusual names - comparing these names with those of the children of my 1st cousin 3x removed, who followed the Christadelphian faith, they were quite normal :D ;)
