I will be in Dunstable for 3 hours at the end of the month....no idea if they have any different records at the library there, but will probably end up in there for a while. Totternhoe is local

She was married 5 Jul 1874 Christ Church,Luton,Bedford.

The one thing I did find was that she died 8 George Street, Dunstable, 8 Jun 1908 so she might be buried in the cemetery which the link does have records; are you going for to look anything up Carolyn?

Thanks Lass, I think this is her 1861, baffled as to why she moved so far looking at her family connections.

No I don't have any family in Bedfordshire - well I did have a small bit but coincidentally that is near me in Henlow. my husband has a driving/eye test appointment which will last 3 hours and it probably won't be worth me coming home as Dunstable is around mins away...and I will go to the fabric shop there first. the library has been closed for over a year and and been rebuilt so thought I would take a look.

I see that she is a straw plaiter, wonder if she went with the skills or learnt them there.

I don't think the marriage will be there but would it be cheeky to ask, if you have time, if you could have a look at the Cemetery records for her?

I have failed in my mission, took ages to find the fiche...eventually once we were up and running husband rang to say he was ready!

The burial didn't seem to be there, the images had a big gap on dates. So not sure if they were on another fiche, but we couldn't find them.

Took dates of marriage as well, but having reread thread can see it was Luton not Dunstable, I think they may have had Luton there as well :( Will have to take a trip over sometime and have a proper look, without husband stranded across town.
