Thank you everyone for all your input I am very sorry I could not reply yesterday as I was locked out and had to reset password very strange as it was always the same and has been since i Joined.
I have her marraige cert to she married Paul Edrick Norton on 21 April 1921 and she states her age as 35, father is shown as Charles manning, deceased, occupation defiantly Cutler. the 1939 reg you found in Dagenham is the family. Like you I have found most of the census returns but not found how to prove i am finding the right family to track back, its so frustrating. My friend is seeing her brother at the weekend and will see if he can help but she is not hopeful, apparently this person was always the mystery in the family.GWEN

She was living at 111 Dempesy St MEOT , when she married MC states she was a spinster, and her occupation was Waitress in Restaurant, I even looked for the witnesses on MC their names are Frederick Rendall and Catherine Rendall.

There is a Rose Manning that was in the workhouse on and off from the age of 3
Maybe one of them has more details:
in Islington, not looked at every record, but no dob or parents that I found. Not sure how to prove that it is her, would answer why she isn't appearing on the census for 1901 and 1911.Carolyn
