Why can't I find my Great Uncle

    Can someone help.

I have problems researching my Great Uncle Joseph Beaver.

He can be found in 1891 Census and Family Search has his baptism 29 April 1889, Linchmere, Sussex.

Why cannot I find his birth or death in any of the register indexes.

He is also cannot be found in 1901 or 1911 census - could he for example have gone abroad.

    Thanks & Regards

    Not having much luck.

The only thing I have found is J Beaver dying in 1916 WW1. Wife Mary R Beaver remarried to Kountouroudos. She was living in America. On CWGC,

She is travelling to America in 1920, from FMP. Have no idea if J was Joseph.

Have you got the marriage of his parents? When were any siblings born?

The only J Beaver marriage to a Mary R I can find is a John Beaver to a possible Mary R Smith in Sept 1913 Durham.

The only 1891 census I can find he is born in Haselmere

    there is this birth record:
    Name: Joseph John Beaver
    Registration Year: 1888
    Registration Quarter: Apr-May-Jun
    Registration district: Croydon
Parishes for this Registration District: View Ecclesiastical Parishes associated with this Registration District
    Inferred County: Surrey
    Volume: 2a
    Page: 256

His baptism may not be where he was born.

If these are likely, I can see other records, but not sure if I have the right one.

It seems that the MMN of that child was Perry.
