  • Can't find him after this Birth Entry?

    Hello,

I'm looking at this Birth Entry Registered in the Ulverston Union, Lancashire.

    WILSON, WILLIAM KEAN MMN: KEAN
GRO Reference: 1859 S Quarter in ULVERSTONE UNION Volume 08E Page 609

I can't find him after that, - but perhaps he dropped the middle name?

Looks like Kean was the Mother's Maiden name.

Can anyone else see him please?

    Cheers, Holly.

Checked Scotland for you but no death or marriage that I can see using full name or mother’s ms which is recorded on death provided the informant knew it of course.

          Hi All,

          Many thanks for looking.

I've ordered the PDF of the Birth Cert now, - although I doubt that it'll give me any more info than has been shown on here.

I wonder if the Marriage Cert between Hannah Kean and William Wilson is on-line anywhere?

I'd love to know who Hannah Kean's Father was...(!)

          Thanks, Holly.

Have you got any of the family on the 1861 census - or are you missing parents too?

No Carolyn, I don't have them on the 1861.

I was trying to find the Bride's Father.

Thanks for the further Marriage Details Kat.

                          Thanks Sylvia,

I always forget about that Site! Thanks for reminding me, - I've been going round in circles on Ancestry!

Funnily enough, I was trying to find a link to a whole bunch of Keans in Ontario, - who are DNA Matches to me, - but originate from Lancashire.

And there is a chance that the William Kean Wilson, Born 1859, - could be my elusive Grandfather, who was calling himself 'William James Wilson' when he Married my Grandmother in Swansea in 1893.

                          Holly.

                            Yes, I think so.

I just need to see if he's still in Ulverston after 1893 or not.

                            Holly.

Well, - and so he wasn't my Grandfather then:-(

It was worth a try though, - thanks everyone for all of the help.

                              Holly.
