Help with Hannah Steele please

Hi,

I am trying to find out about an ancestor called Hannah Steel. She was born 1859 (registered in Henley) probably Checkendon, Oxfordshire (census). Ancestry is throwing up her parents as being born and dying in Ulverston, Lancs. Would they of really gone back to Lancs. when their child(ren) were in Oxfordshire? Another tree has the parents William and Ann as born in Ipsden (next village from Checkendon) and from my research many many years ago I have a William and Mary from Stratfield Sturgis, Hants as possibly the parents!
Can anyone recommend the best way to find out which ones are correct or is the birth cert. the way to go?
I just did a GRO search and the mothers maiden name for the one in 1859 is Greenaway. I can't see a marriage for a Greenaway to a Steel though 1850-1859??

If you follow her through the censuses she is born Ipsden.
