Murder, Mystery and My Family (BBC1) - Was Your Relative Wrongly Convicted?

    ADMIN APPROVED.

WAS YOUR RELATIVE WRONGLY CONVICTED OF MURDER?

BBC One's award winning legal documentary series ‘Murder, Mystery and My Family’ is returning. Two of Britain’s top barristers re-examine historic cases while a relative of the accused explores their family's history to either bring closure, or even get the conviction ruled unsafe by a top judge.

Was a member of your family convicted of murder before 1975? Do you think there may have been a miscarriage of justice? If so, please get in touch with the production team via the account MMMF_CHALKBOARD using Family Tree Forum's Private Messaging System.

More information about the series can be found here:

I thought I would give this a nudge to the top. As it says to be done by Private Messaging someone might miss it otherwise.

I checked the first link last night but it doesn’t say anything about when it’s coming back. Does anybody know?

I guess when they've found the twenty cases - hence the appeal. I've seen the appeal elsewhere too.

In case you didn't see the programme last year - this is more or less the link in the first post which didn't work (although it does now).

Set up to record. I seem to remember the first series was quite good.

I once got asked to review a 1930s murder case file at TNA, on behalf of family of the "wrongly" convicted man.

I had to tell them I'd never seen a more convincing case of guilt in my life ....absolutely no doubt at all, and he was very lucky his death sentence was commuted to being detained indefinitely in Broadmoor.
