one of them has the mothers address as 1 Rush Grove, Woolwich - 1876. It did seem a bit far away from Bermondsey, but maybe she was sent to somewhere?
still no census, but regular school records for them 3 of them
Brighton Road School - more about it here:

If the marriage is correct for Mary then she is here 1901 - odd place of birth, and name not correct
But same people as 1911
can't find 1891
this could be her death:
I am really hoping this is her - as she had such a rubbish start to life
lots of reg of electors in islington area with both their names, so assume it is them as surname unusual
and the 1939 reg

The coroners press reports of August 1871 give an address of 40 Bermondsey Square and Elizabeth Richards landlady. She later stated at Old Bailey trial that couple resided with her from 1865 to 12/08/1870?
Couple remanded to Newgate awaiting trial.
However couple not recorded at 40 Bermondsey Sq in 1871
Ancestry
Elizabeth Richards b 1812 Middlesex
Head
Living 40 Bermondsey Sq
There was a snippet in the press of Elizabeth and George D referring to the death of another child called Bell and the difficulty of burying her because of Coroner involvement.
Very sad case and awful times for families. Couple found not guilty of criminal neglect.

the Bermondsey Square address was in the newspaper clip too. They use the word 'prisoner' so were they in prison until the trial? I can't see when they first started. Would it have been 1871 census day.Carolyn

so not there in April 1871, wonder where they were?
Learning things all the time.... I note that many people on census in prisons were just initials, so never likely to find them. Just like today with Social Services, never occurred to me. I did have someone transported to VDL in 1820s but they were not bothered about keeping him a secret. Or maybe Newgate is a place to hold until trial, so possibly not guilty?
Did find Newgate prison just out of interest

According to Mrs Elizabeth Richards, a witness at their trial and their Landlady, the couple had lived at 40 Bermondsey Square from 1865 until August 1871. Given their chaotic lifestyle maybe chose not to cooperate with census info. Or maybe in the workhouse.
