Do I need to but their marriage cert?

    Hi all,

William Steel marries Ann Austin in 1853, Henley, Oxfordshire but I can't find Ann Austin before she married him and Ancestry isn't giving any hints - do you think she has married before (I can't find a birth for her in said birth place Ipsden, Oxfordshire)?

Any children? You could try a birth registration(or two) on the GRO index to see what was given for mmn.
