I think we have 2 Fanny's on 1841 born either 1811 or 1821, so not sure which is correct.
Burial record that ties in with her date of death and place, stating she is 37, meaning birth to be 1808
Bartlett living with James Larkam in 1851
James Larkam living with others and own means in 1861
Bartlett in school 1861
Various census Bartlett with wife and family
is that where we are?Carolyn

Carolyn ... I think so!!
That's a good summation.
Of course, the school MIGHT have provided bursaries or scholarships or free education for boys who fit certain criteria.
I did notice in one reference to the school that it was Quaker. My grandmother, on the beach, South Bay, Scarborough, undated photo (poss. 1929 or 1930)

James Larkam was baptised 25 April 1825, Dinton, Wiltshire, son of Edward and Sarah Larkam. Edward was a Farmer, and the address given was Tefford.
The name of the church is not given, but the Parish is Dinton with Tefford Magna

Sarah (daughter) was working in Dinton House in 1841.
I couldn't decide if the Smith was correct as i couldn't find a birth in Dorset.
Seems a few Larkhams aboutCarolyn
