  • Query on GRO Birth Entry

I've just looked up a birth entry on the GRO indexes and was wondering if anyone could explain what "Occasional Copy: A: means.

It would usually indicate that there was a later correction made to the original entry - the certificate should normally show what it was.

Thank you Anthony, unfortunately the connection isn't close enough to warrant me buying a certificate so it will remain for ever a mystery as far as I am concerned.
