  • a little research tip

Many of you may already do this as a matter of course, but, on the whole I haven't, but will in future.

Whilst working along with other forum members on Mave's thread asking for help about the disappearance of her ancestor Robert Ransome, I did a newspaper search for him and came up with nothing. For some reason, I don't know why, I removed Robert's forename and replaced it with that of his wife, then searched, using the same parameters. Much to my surprise, I discovered a gold nugget.

So, in future, I shall ensure that I make a more thorough and efficient use of each dataset/source by looking for other family members at the same time, instead of just focusing on the main area of interest.
We still don't know what happened to Robert, but we do know a little more about the circumstances of his family.
