    Keyboard change

I don't really understand what I'm asking , but hubby has a problem and has asked me to see if anyone can help please?

He is on Windows 10 and after an update his keyboard has reverted back from UK to American. He can't seem to find out how to switch it back again.

I hope one of them will fix it.

Hubby says thank you very much Caroline The problem is on his desktop upstairs, so I have printed out a copy of your instructions which he will have when he goes up there.

I was hoping that this was what is wrong with my laptop key board, when I want to print @ I have to do shift and 2, my pound sign seems to have disappeared and shift and 3 just gives #, other of these special symbols seem to have moved too.

I tried Caroline's tips but they didn't help, any other ideas? I can work with it but it is a pain.

    Thanks

Cracked it - I think!!! I googled my problem and one of the answers was 'Alt & Shift' - it worked.

It's happened again this morning, easily enough to rectify now I know how, but, I've never had it happen before. Grr!

I did it a different way to you

    have you tried this

How do I change my keyboard from US to UK?
    Steps
Open regional and language options in the control panel.
On the language tab click on details then click on the details button.
Select English (UK) from the drop down menu then tick keyboard layout/IME checkbox.
Select UK extended from the drop down menu then click OK.
