  • Help reading the 1939 register

    If using Ancestry search for the (mistranscribed) Arthur C Coltherp. His name is actually Arthur O Colthup so may be transcribed differently on FMP.

    I cannot read the 3rd member, transcribed as Clara M A Stary. I am sure that the surname is Story, but the Christian name might be Claire or a variation, and I cannot read the writing in red.

    If you have access to the 1901 census she should be there in the Medway, Kent area, with her daughter Elizabeth b1895. I would like to know her family.

    Any help appreciated.

    Third member as Claire M A Story
    Writing in red Unpaid domestic duties
    Judith passed away in October 2018

      In 1901 Clara MA Story aged 32 was at 153 High Street Rochester with husband John 44 and children Clara A 13, John 9, Elizabeth M 5 and Albert G 2
