Did William perhaps not know name of father for marriage cert and gave same name as father of Mary?

William Robson September Q 1853 Hexham. Mothers maiden name Littlefair.

An Isabella Littlefair married Thomas Robson, Hexham 1848.

1851 Thomas with Isabella b 1823 Northumberland and son Jacob Atkinson Robson b 1849. Thomas b 1818 Husbandman from Cumberland.

Isabella dies 1858

1861 Thomas now saying b Northumberland
Husbandman/Road Maker with Esther b 1816
Northumberland and
Jacob b 1850, William b 1854 and Thomas
George b 1856

1871 Thomas, Esther with Thomas George. No William or Jacob.

It's one of those with so many possibilities isn't it. May not have known where he was born, or even father's name or occupation, even if there was a father named, who perhaps died when he was a baby etc etc.

William robson and mary cookson were both 21, bachelor and spinster. Both living in leadgate. William was a miner. Their fathers were thomas robson and thomas cookson, both miners.
Wittnesses: robert cawthorne and eliza kirsop.
