    Possible inscription on a stone slab

    Hi,

    I wonder whether anyone can offer suggestions on this:



    There is a distinct outline of a sword on the slab. I think I can see extra detail at the top of the slab, above the pommel of the sword.
    Do you know whether it is possible, with photoshop wizardry, to play with the image and possibly highlight any hidden detail?
    Or is it a case of taking another photo with particular camera settings?
    Or will nothing help?

    Thanks Kat - that's very interesting...particularly the foil method. I'll have to see if someone local is able to follow up on that - it's probably over 2 years until I'm able to visit the slab again
