His wife Christina was born at Tiverton 9 Jul 1910 (her parents were also from Tiverton) and in 1939 is an evacuee at Barnshill Farm, Crediton presumably with their 2 children (both born in Wandsworth).

Brendon Cottage is not far from Gays Farm, on Gays Lane, New buildings, Copplestone. It falls outside of the parish, but this is where the edges get a little smudged. Copplestone would have been the closest village to these outlaying farms. They most likely went to school at Shirley Corner School Copplestone. Went to the Methodist Church in Copplestone. The Farmers Market was in Copplestone where animals were regularly sold.

This chap lived less than quarter of a mile away also Gays Lane.

If truth, I would include any man or woman who fought and lost their life in any major conflict, as long as they were born or lived in the parish at the time.

Coleford falls outside of the parish, so in this case can not be included.

                            Many thanks for looking, angelina.

Dickleg Cottage (took some finding) is on a farm called Butsford Barton in Colebrooke parish, but as with all these I will keep him on another list in case anything further comes to notice.

                                Thanks again Jill.
