  • First World War Medal

    Hi all,

We have been given a tin with some medals in from the in laws and one of them has confused us. I think we may be at a dead end for this however I wanted to ask on here just in case. It is a British War Medal and only has the name B Brown on it and has no service number. We don't have a B Brown in the tree and I was puzzled by the lack of service number - any thoughts on how to narrow down who this person is?

    Thanks x

Jacob Sudders born in Prussia c.1775 married Alice Pidgeon in 1800 in Gorelston. Do you know where Jacob was born?

Could it be a 'replica' medal which has been bought/collected ? The name B. Brown could have been put on by the manufacturer to make it look more authentic, hence no Service number.
