    Could anyone near Eyethorne kindly check a headstone shown here: https://billiongraves.com/grave/ALFR...LTHUP/15579820 and see if the date for Alfred could be 1864 and not 1861.

    I enlarged the picture & it reads,

    Who Died Feb 7th 1861. Aged 2 Years.

      Thanks Matt. Very strange as he was born Q1 1862 ref Eastry 2a 704 and died Q1 1864 (actually 5.2.1864) ref 2a 559. I wonder if the 4 has weathered to the point where it looks like a 1 in the photo.

        Just because it is written in stone,does n't mean its right, I have a number of headstone photos
        on which the mason has got the dates wrong.
