Welcome to the forum, Graham. What was the name of William's father? (It could help us eliminate other William Morgans) Where was LLangefelach Road? - Was it in Swansea?

william morgan who married mary ann harris was living in llangefelach rd, not his father.

i'm having trouble identifying william jnr in the census. there is a william morgan b.1881 swansea living with mother ellen b.1857 somerford keynes, wilts in 1891, but his father is absent. the 1901 census shows father and son home together in swansea, so this is not the right family.

the only other william in 1891 swansea with father william is:
william morgan b.1881, swansea, and father william is b.1848 haverfordwest, pembrokeshire. father is a tinplate sorter though. mother is martha b.1847 haverfordwest. father william is widowed in 1901, in swansea, a tin plate binder.

No obvious connection with the witnesses unless Maggie was a married sister of one of them.
