  • How to search for an address in 1939

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to search 1939 by address, and if so how do I do it? I have access to Ancestry but I'm still lost. I'm searching for a family who were definitely at this address between 1944-49. I have searched their name but can't find them in the area so far. I'm hoping they are in the same house but mistranscribed.
    TIA

you can add the road name in keyword and tick as exact. It is not foolproof, but may get you there.
