Movie Maker speech editing.

I have just recorded a small video of my grandaughter and find her speech and lip movements are not in sync . I did it on my Kindle fire because that was close to hand. I would like to salvage this but can't find a way of editing the audio. If I use the speed setting in Movie maker, after downloading the clip to my computer , it just speeds up or down the movie and speech. Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot edit the sound in Movie maker, it is too limited an application to do that.
What you need to do is:
1. extract just the sound track using the free application of Audacity
2. Open the video in Movie maker, but use the Video Volume control in the 'Edit Video' toolbar to mute the current soundtrack.
3. Use the 'Add Music' tool to add the soundtrack that you had previously extracted
4. you can now nudge the music track across slowly to make it sync
