Windows component is missing

I have some windows updates that wont install have googled and it seems to be a problem for others too, but cannot get them to download at all

anybody know why ??? managed them okay on the laptop but wont install on the pc

Try microsoft website for an update fix, google for it

they recommend something I dont want to do , like uninstalling all the .net stuff ? am not happy with that , but thanks for helping.

just did a scan with superantispyware which detected a Rootskit ??I wonder if this is from the time I had that Trojan??

well after trying all sorts I had to reinstall BITS and Reset Windows Updates took forever as I had to fiddle a bit but hey presto it worked and I now have all updates installed phew.
Oh and the Rootskit has gone too.
