I've been having a tidy up on my pc, moving and deleting things. In my documents I have several FTM files and FTM back up files, (Type FTW famile file & Type FTW Back up file) which are old, going back to 2007. The latest FTM files and back up files are in a different folder specifically for Family history stuff. Will it be OK to delete the older files ?

Your tree will have changed quite a lot since 2007 so its probably OK to delete them. Think about whether you would EVER need to go back to a much earlier version of your tree? Its also worth looking at how big the files are (how much room they are using) If its not very much then you might as well keep them just in case you ever needed to look back.
