Google opening in wrong browser

I use the youtube plug in, so would miss that - will have to see what edge has

I've tried Edge and Chrome, but much prefer Firefox.

Both Edge and Chrome use the Chromium browser engine (which is open-source) as their base, as do several others such as Brave.

All that MS and Google do is add their own features on top of the browser engine.
