  • Week 35 (Aug. 29-Sept. 5): School

Have you thought about your ancestor's education?
Any teachers or principals in the family?
Have you ever visited your ancestor's old school (or maybe you attended the same school)?

Thank you Caroline, this week I have looked at the education of Henry Pye, the King of the Hundreds family and how fortunate that the women in his family were to have received an education in Victorian Britain. It perhaps was not my initial choice of story but it was interesting to look at the types of education that girls may have been lucky enough to have in this era.
