Week 17 (April 22-28): Land

As it comes with Air, Water and Fire, I immediately thought of of soldiers but this week has lots of scope.

Pretty much all of us will have ag labs!!

Landowners? Tenant farmers? Do they appear on a tithe map?

Did you have anyone who was part of the Land Army in WW2?

Loads of Ag Labs in my husband's tree, but apart from a lot of them going from working the fields in Somerset to working down the coal mines in Wales I haven't unearthed any stories about them, however a favourite book of mine and one that I occasionally still read today is Lorna on the Land by Doris Pocock, unfortunately there isn't any inscription inside but I imagine that it must have belonged to one of my aunts, it cost 6/-.
