    Would any kind person visiting the Carlisle Register office in the near future please look up for me
    1899- 1902 Electoral Register for
    15 Byron Street,
    Workington

    Family Name: O'Neill Charles - Head
    Catherine - wife
    John, Charles, Catherine, Rose Ann, Mary, Patrick - children

    Hi Malshie, and welcome to FTF.

    The electoral rolls are usually held at the local library, or sometimes the Record Office, not the Register Office.

    Unfortunately you're not likely to get much information. Women didn't have the vote in those days, and children under 21 wouldn't appear on the register either, so at most you'll be able to confirm Charles' address. If you e-mail the Carlisle library, they may be willing to do a look-up for you.

    Have you found the family in the 1901 census?

      Morning Mary, Thank you for your reply to my question. I may email the Carlisle library.

      I do have the family on the 1901 Census, but Charles's wife Catherine is missing on the Census. No death record has been found either.

      I just wondered if she was around in 1899 and 1902?
