I thought it must be imminent: I've had some "thanks for your correction" notices recently.

They have coverage charts on their site showing what percentage of records have been transcribed for each year.

Not worried Kate. Just saying there is a lot of date coverage. I can't remember the name I was really searching ages ago when I discovered they had transcribed beyond 1920. I picked Smith as it is a common name.

Those will be ones contributed by someone doing a one-name study, Kit, presumably just within a certain area, but don't worry, they do have to be taken from the GRO indexes.

A quick search gave me Smiths upto 1983!

I can't remember the date but I'm sure I found a couple of records well past the 1930's.

Thanks for this, I have now found births and some marriages for a whole family who were born after 1901.

As I said, 1909-1929 isn't complete yet. If you look at the coverage charts I linked to above, you can see how far they've got.

If you look at the actual coverage charts, they haven't got any further than about 1929, except for the occasional record, and 1909-1929 isn't 100% complete yet.

I hadn't looked at the progress charts, I have to admit. That's really impressive that they're working on such recent records.
