    Lambeth Archives is holding another series of talks each Thurs evening at 7pm starting on 21st Jan. The series is called, 'Lambeth History Unlocked: stories and sources from Lambeth Archives.' The first one is called, 'Where is Lambeth?' Email archives@lambeth.gov.uk to book.

    Next few talks:
    28th January -
    The Walcot Estate.
    The story of Lambeth's oldest parochial charity and its streets of Kennington houses. Jon Newman

    4th February
    The Old Vic and the rest
    A quick tour around Lambeth's unlicensed theatres (of which only the Old Vic survives) which gave to 19th century Lambeth its dodgy reputation as a place of entertainment. Jon Newman

    11th February
    Lambeth in Maps
    Discover the rich collection of maps at Lambeth archives and what we can learn about Lambeth's past from them. Len Reilly
