Currently, when I add a new photo the option is from a file location on my laptop. I'd like to access Google photos directly to avoid downloading a photo to start the process. I suspect my laptop running Windows 10 is not allowing FTB to access Google Photos, but I can't find the setting.

It appears you can only add photos to FTB directly from your computer. You don't need to store them on your computer after you have uploaded them to FTB - just delete them if storage is your concern.
