Please, does anybody have it, and if so would they be willing to look at something for me?

I am trying to check on an Edward Josephy who was in New York in 1870, born about 1836 ish. Was he born in Mecklenburg, Germany and did he go straight from Germany to New York? If the answers are no and yes, then he is not my man!

I found 2 Edward Josephy in New York in 1870. One was born abt 1834 in Germany and was an importer, the other born abt 1835 and was an invalid. It doesn't say when they came to New York. Hope it helps.

Also found him in 1880 married to Emma and was an agent.
